Description:
• The newly established federation of the Food Security TEP with the deep learning platform Hopsworks allows using AI-methods for crop type classification on the Food Security TEP.
• Food Security TEP provides a processor for high quality atmospheric correction and cloud and cloud masking of Sentinel-2 to have very high-quality input which is important for AI.
• Using the event monitor on the TEP, automatic processing of the EO time series for agricultural monitoring is possible.
• Federation between the platforms allows AI model training on Hopsworks and AI model inference on the Food Security TEP without leaving the TEP as UI.
• In the demonstration, the workflow for derivation of crop types with AI using the Event Monitor as well as the processors available for Sentinel-2 and the link to Hopsworks will be shown on the Food Security TEP using example tiles from the Danube area.
