Company-Project:
DLR - Urban TEP
Description:
The Urban Thematic Exploitation Platform (U-TEP; urban-tep.eu) is developed to provide end-to-end and ready-to-use solutions for the scientists, analysts, planners and decision makers. Key components of the system are an open, web-based portal connected to distributed computing infrastructures and providing key functionalities for
• high-performance data access and processing,
• modular and generic state-of-the art pre-processing, analysis, and visualization,
• customized development and sharing of algorithms, products and services, and
• networking and communication.
In addition, direct access to Earth observation (EO) data (e.g. Landsat and Copernicus archives) and a heterogeneous ensemble of ready-to-use products from various providers and sources (open, free and commercial). The Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) concept offered by UrbanTEP allows third party data and service providers to share and offer additional datasets and functionalities. The Visualization and Analysis Tool (VISAT) on U-TEP allows experts and non-experts exploit the available datasets fully, by conducting geospatial analyses and queries and creating individual compositions of data including analyses and visualization functionalities.
