Women+ in Geospatial welcomes everyone to a breakfast session to meet fellow conference attendees as well as the people who lead Women+ in Geospatial. In smaller group conversations, we can exchange advice on how to make the most out of a conference like LPS as well as share each other’s career journeys. About WiG+:
Women+ in Geospatial promotes gender equality in the geospatial industry and academia by: (1) Providing a safe space for geospatial professionals & students to network and connect, (2) Advocating for and raising awareness of gender diversity and (3) Organising activities to enhance the career development of geospatial professionals from underrepresented gender backgrounds. We regularly run webinars, workshops and panel discussions on varied topics from technical to leadership skills. Women+ in Geospatial also runs a free year-long career mentorship programme open to international participants. The Women+ in Geospatial speakers database brings together organisers of geospatial events and speakers from underrepresented gender backgrounds to highlight unique expert voices.
